The Calgary Marathon is an annual race held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada .First held in 1963, and annually since 1971, it has a certified running distance of 26.219 mi. The marathon is certified by Athletics Canada and is a registered AIMS Marathon, and therefore can be used as a qualifying marathon race.   For 58 years, the Calgary Marathon has been at the forefront of running in this country, attracting runners from all over the world to our city. Runners who add the 5K to any distance (10K, half, full or ultra) will receive the extra bling to attach to their race medal.
